Ultrasoft cataract of the young BY Dr Sourabh D Patwardhan.
I use intracameral xylocaine. i take incision on steep axis. Also i use 1.8 % hyaluronate. i do ccc from side port in these cases. I do forceful hydrodissection and hydrodileneation to prolapse endonucleus which can be aspirated. I stop the irrigation before removing the probe to avoid AC collapse. Inform patient not to squeeze eye while removing probe. Choice of IOL - monofocal or EDOF. After entering i lift the iris to release reverse pupillary block. Thorough wash of visco is must.
