Traumatic Cataract With Pre existing PC tear - Dr Deepak Megur

This video is about a 40 year old lady wit traumatic cataract with rupture anterior lens capsule and secondary glaucoma. During the surgery it was found out that there was a pre existing equatorial PC tear as well . This video demonstrates the technique of using the posterior approach i.e Pars Plana approach for anterior vitrectomy. After anterior vitrectomy and a cortical clean up , IOL was placed into the bag and the case was completed. The Patient did have excellent visual acuity in the post operative period.
