I am demonstrating the classical four quadrant divide and conquer technique in this video. It is a great technique to start our surgical career with. I am doing this in a very hard cataract in this film, but the principles would remain the same.
This technique is less dependent on the dexterity and control of the non dominant hand, unlike that of the direct chop technique. Learning this technique would be like a stepping stone for us to graduate to the Phaco Chop technique.
