a case of PCR during I/A with intact hyaloid surface is discussed. phacoemulsification was uneventful. While polishing, i realised the PCR. Most likely it happened due to using higher settings while polishing. After this, i injected visco from left side and then I/A probe is removed. Carefully noticing movement of visco only beyond posterior capsule and not into vitreous shows that anterior hyaloid face is intact. I put viscoat to coat hyloid face. Then i covert the tear to posterior CCC. Anterior chamber should be well formed during this. Now, i put the iol in the AC first and then bimanually put the lens in the bag. In the end, i do passive visco wash. I injected IVTA to check for any vitreous.
