Phacomorphic Glaucoma: Rhexis Challenge..! Dr Deepak Megur

Using the 2 staged rhexis is a standard technique for performing capsulorhexis in a case of Intumuscent Cataract since it gives predictable outcome. During decompression following the primary rhexis, aspirating the thick swollen cortex is a challenge . The Consistency of the swollen cortes will be like epinucleus which will be difficult to aspirate using a small bore cannula. In this video i demonstrate the different ways in which it can be done.
