In this video, i demonstrate mechanical chop. I used a hybrid chopper for this technique- modified sinskey. for initial cases, do hydrodileneation, then make a groove with phacoprobe. chopper has to lie just below the capsule. use ball tipped chopper to protect posterior capsule. after making a groove, the chopper hooks the nucleus under the anterior capsule.then it moves towards the phacotip and crushes the nucleus. only mechanical separation is done without phacoenergy.
